Synopsis:

Non-Equity the Musical! is about six actors living the life of a Non-Union actor in New York City. From straight out of college, to a veteran who just can't seem to get an Equity show.  We follow these six characters to different auditions, as well as their day-to-day lives of surviving in this city.

Wendy Gibson is the central character in the show, and while others book shows, Wendy can never seem to. "Non-Equity The Musical!" is funny, fresh, and holds a passionate energy that every person possesses when it comes to going after their dreams!

The creation process was a bit of a whirlwind with it’s first inception presentation on November 13, 2011 with Rickens Anantua, Lindsay Morgan, Nichole Turner, CJ Urciuoli, Danielle Trczinski and Connor Vilaça performing the rolls of Ezra, Felicity, Beonika, Charlie, Wendy and Luke.  Subsequently, with great response from that performance, Danielle and Paul began fervently working on the show.  Having it basically completed in three months, for the March 24th reading.

Non-Equity The Musical! has been selected to make history at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse & Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival being part of THE PITCH.  This is also the inaugural season for the Festival.

Much more details about the show to come, but this will give you an idea.

Thank you for joining us in the world of “Non-Equity.”
